Timothy A. Gonsalves
Academic
Background
Dr.
Gonsalves,a
founding member of TeNeT received a B.Tech. (1976) from
IIT-Madras, an M.S. (1979) from Rice University, Houston,
TX, and a Ph.D (1986) from Stanford University, CA, all
in Electrical Engineering.

His doctoral thesis dealt with the use of LANs for voice and data
traffic. After receiving his doctorate, he joined the Computer
Science Department, WPI, Worcester, MA as an Assistant Professor.
Since 1989, he has been with the Department of Computer Science
& Engineering, IIT Madras, India, where he is currently a
Professor.
